Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Will the pump meet a 15-foot rise requirement?
The family manual states a maximum rise and distance of 5 m (about 16.4 ft), so a 15-foot rise is within the stated rise limit if the full route also respects the distance and installation instructions.
Explore this need in the finder →Can the built-in pump run when the side-access tank is removed?
No. The manual says the tank must remain installed for operation; pump mode and bucketless operation are not combined.
Explore this need in the finder →Can a 17-foot vertical lift be treated as an established pump setup?
No. It exceeds the manual’s 5-metre stated rise limit (about 16.4 ft); verify any route at or below the limit and do not use this as a guarantee for an improvised hose path.
Explore this need in the finder →The black Midea MAD50PS1AWBL is the 50-pint/day Smart Access configuration in this family with a built-in lift pump. It can collect water in its side-access tank, drain continuously by gravity to a lower outlet, or use the pump hose for an upward route. Midea’s family manual gives the pump setup a maximum rise and distance of 5 metres; this model is not the white Cube pump, whose manual states a different limit.

Its pump changes the drain plan, not the rating’s meaning
Midea rates this model at 50 pints/day and advertises spaces up to 4,500 square feet. That area is a manufacturer claim, not a promise of fixed drying speed; temperature, humidity, airflow and incoming moisture all matter. Compare the rating with the 35-pint MAD35S1AWWT and 22-pint MAD22S1AWWT rather than predicting a daily bucket volume.
Published size is 9.92 inches deep, 18.9 wide and 19.09 high; dry weight is 41.89 pounds. This is the largest and heaviest Smart Access option here. Reserve side-tank and airflow space; collected water adds weight. Casters help on suitable level flooring, but Midea says not to move the appliance with water in its tank.
Do not transfer pump specifications from the white Cube MAD50PS1QWT-A. The Smart Access manual states a 5-metre maximum rise and distance (about 16.4 feet), while the Cube manual gives a 14-foot maximum vertical lift. Measure this exact route against both limits.
Three water options require different setup
For bucket collection, carefully withdraw the side-access tank when full, empty it and seat it again. The splash guard may reduce spillage, but does not eliminate carrying. Continuous gravity drainage uses a separate threaded hose that Midea says is not included; it must run lower than the outlet without kinks. Keep the tank installed: the unit shuts off if it is removed or mispositioned.
For pumping, attach the supplied hose, activate pump mode and direct discharge to a suitable drain or container. Midea warns that exceeding the 5-metre rise and distance limit may damage the unit or cause leaks. The pump stops when the tank is empty. Keep the tank installed; this is not a bucketless plan. Follow the manual when reconnecting the hose or replacing the drain plug.
The family manual does not document tank-free gravity operation. Some Cube models have a separate bucketless-gravity setup, but that feature does not transfer to Smart Access. This unit may use a lower gravity route in a different setup, still with its tank installed.
Smart control and modes are secondary to routing
Midea lists SmartHome app and voice support, four modes, two fan speeds and a 24-hour timer. The manual describes a 35–85% Set target, Continuous operation, optional Comfort control in a 45–55% range and optional Dryer mode. Dryer runs at high fan speed toward wrung-out clothes, but thick items may not dry effectively. Network issues can interrupt app setup or synchronization, so physical controls remain useful. The documented pump feature is not a guarantee that any improvised hose route is safe; direct discharge where water will not cause leaks or freeze.
What the 22- and 35-pint alternatives give up
The 35-pint MAD35S1AWWT weighs 33.73 pounds and is 18.5 inches wide; it is lighter but has no pump. MAD22S1AWWT is rated at 22 pints/day and weighs 30.84 pounds. Either may be simpler to handle when a lower gravity drain works. Neither serves an uphill outlet.
Against Cube pump MAD50PS1QWT-A, this Smart Access is black and uses a side-access tank with splash guard; the Cube has a different storage arrangement. Their pump limits differ: 5 metres of rise and distance for Smart Access versus 14 feet vertical for Cube. Choose by exact model and manual, not the shared 50-pint rating.
Make room for upkeep and operating limits
The manual gives a 41–90°F and 30–80% RH range, calls for a level surface, and specifies at least 8 inches around the unit and 16 inches at its outlet. It recommends an enclosed room with doors and windows closed and a continuous first 24-hour run; after a quick shutdown, wait about three minutes before restarting.
Clean the air filter and pump filter every two weeks and the tank every few weeks. A pump reduces the need to carry water upward, but adds a hose connection and filter to maintain. Inspect the connection after service; app control does not replace setup checks.
Consider MAD50PS1AWBL if a 50-pint/day rating is appropriate, the black side-access design fits your space, and the measured drain route falls within the manual’s 5-metre rise-and-distance limit. It is not the lightest or narrowest choice, and its pump cannot run bucketless. If you cannot keep the tank installed, the route exceeds the stated limit, or the room sits below the manual’s temperature range, this model is not an established fit.
